A new Despar store opens in Trieste. Roberti: "More jobs in the city."

Believing in a local area doesn't just mean offering residents and the many tourists who pass through this square every day a new, high-quality service that wasn't there before; just as it doesn't just mean redeveloping and repurposing a valuable space that had been abandoned and left unused. It also means providing jobs to many more people, beyond those we'll find directly among the shelves of this supermarket: businesses and professionals who have contributed to the project, generating economic growth for our community.
This was stated today in Trieste by the Regional Councilor for Local Authorities, Pierpaolo Roberti, at the inauguration of the city's 30th Despar store, located inside the historic Palazzo Fontana in the Cavana area. The store will employ 21 workers, half of whom are young new hires. Among those in attendance were Mayor Roberto Dipiazza and Fabrizio Cicero, Director of Aspiag Service Despar for Friuli Venezia Giulia.
As the Regional Council representative explained, conveying greetings from Governor Massimiliano Fedriga, today's meeting does not represent the conclusion of Despar's investment plan in Trieste, and "as institutions, we will continue to provide our fullest cooperation," Roberti concluded, "for the positive things this company is doing, in terms of employment and the economy, for Trieste and the Friuli Venezia Giulia region."
